Adult Parties
Hosting adult parties can be so much fun! Adult party ideas can come from anywhere! It can be to celebrate a person, an accomplishment, or to celebrate a season. All of the best parties I've ever attended celebrated something though. And I guess that's my point; it should be centered around something or someone. And the most important thing for you to remember is to make your guest feel welcome, wanted, and comfortable. As long as your guests feels this way, your party will be a success. If you're having a small get togther for say 6 or 8 people, make sure all of the guests get along. It can be pretty tricky if someone is holding a grudge against someone else. The party will be extremely tense and you may even see fireworks. (I like fireworks but not that kind!) If it's a somewhat larger dinner, it's not that big a deal. If you have a diverse group of people, try to seat your guests with an outgoing person on one side and a quieter person on the other side. That way the conversation will not drag. Also, at bigger parties you will want to introduce your guests to each other. When I introduce my friends, I try to say something about the person as well as their name to get the conversaion going. (That way they already have something to talk about and I can go introduce other guests.) If your theme is more casual, you more than likely will want to serve your food buffet style. Sometimes this is a lot easier than planning a sit down dinner for a large crowd. You should go with whatever is best for you. Remember to just plan ahead, be relaxed, and have fun at your own party (then other guests will too!)
